Android Customization

First of all, let’s introduce what we named as “home screen”. Just like how it looks in the desktop computer screen, home screen is a layout that shows you all the applications, widgets, widgets, and so on on your mobile phone or laptop, all on one place. So, let’s see what this means on our mobile device. On my Nokia 6, when I need space, I just select the widget for it. Then I just tap into it and I can select any application I want in this widget. The list of available applications will be displayed at top part of my widget. When I want to configure this widget, I just need to tap into it and then I can choose from different types of customizations that I can do for it. And there are more than 20 combinations I can make for this widget and it can look very beautiful. As you can see in the example below; if I want to add a new view or app, I can tap on Edit widget and now select the App and then I just create some actions that I can select (for example, delete an existing application). But here, I think, you just need to understand those actions (delete an existing app) and they are just to give the user extra information about the app. If I want an app to show on the right side page of another app, I can always add any image to it.
All these actions are useful I think only if the application is not too big. But if you have a small application, you don’t need to do much customization. Anyway, now let’s see how to change my home screen and customize my Android widgets. To set up this, I first need to download the latest version of Nova Launcher and Nova Launcher 7. So go to Play Store > Download Nova Launcher and Open It; after downloading, launch it and sign up with my google account. My personal Nova Launcher is free but if I want to install Nova Launcher 7, I need to spend some money. I am going to use this option because I need a faster time while working on my projects. I think everyone can use it with a Google account. After signing up and installing Nova Launcher from Play Store, go through the steps given by the tutorial. Now click on Add to Home Screen, the menu will be displayed and then go on to select a widget which you want for it. Here, in my case, I choose One UI Home Screen widget. So you can get other types of layouts for yourself too, I just choose one for myself. Select 2 to 4 images for your widget and then click Save. You will see the changes in your widget on your mobile home screen. That’s it. Hope everything understood well. Feel free to ask anything to me, I will answer! Hope you liked the article. Please leave comment if you have any issue related there. Thank you! A note on the theme Customizing the Color Pixels in Your Widgets: I find some people to customize the colors of their apps on their home screen which I think is really cool but I don’t like them in-app settings. I think they are not helpful at all. I will say you can do it in app settings but then, the color pixels (color blue and red), sometimes, have more problems than people think. I think maybe all of us should not do that because then the users would be confused which color pixels are visible. We can use app whiten it and change the name as something else like, something green or anything.
